MOBILAIR Engages Municipal and Transport Partners to Plan Next Steps
As MOBILAIR moves into the final stages of the project, the team has been actively engaging with local government and transport partners to plan the next phase of citizen outreach and explore opportunities for upscaling.
A series of meetings took place with the Strategic Planning and Digitalisation Departments of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, as well as with the Municipality of Pylaia-Hortiatis, focused on the organisation of an upcoming open citizen event. By coordinating closely with municipal departments, the team ensures that the event will be well-integrated into the city’s existing mobility and sustainability initiatives, and that it reaches the communities who stand to benefit most from the MOBILAIR app. The involvement of the Municipality of Pylaia-Hortiatis signals an exciting expansion of MOBILAIR’s reach beyond the city centre, bringing the project’s tools and insights to new neighbourhoods and communities in the wider Thessaloniki metropolitan area.
In parallel, MOBILAIR held a kick-off meeting with TheTa/OSETH, the Thessaloniki Public Transport Authority, to explore the potential for upscaling the project by integrating MOBILAIR within OSETH’s suite of digital infrastructure. This meeting marks a significant step towards embedding the project’s air quality and mobility insights into the city’s public transport ecosystem, moving MOBILAIR from a standalone tool towards a fully integrated component of Thessaloniki’s digital mobility landscape.
