Mobilair Kick-off Meeting Thessaloniki, Greece
Over the past six months, since the beginning of the Mobilair project, bilateral meetings have been organised between CERTH- HIT and the Municipal Authority to inform the Mayor about the project and map out the next steps for citizen awareness and engagement. At the same time, AUTh discussed with the relevant administrative services about the issues related to air quality monitoring.
It was decided that the official kick-off meeting would take place at a later stage, once key issues had been agreed upon with the Authority. In fact, the meeting took place in person at the premises of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, on 20 March 2025, with the aim of briefing civil servants from the relevant departments informed about the project and its next steps. The Major Development Agency Thessaloniki (MDAT S.A.) was also invited at the meeting, as it is the development organization for the local development of the Municipalities of the Metropolitan area of Thessaloniki and is in close collaboration with both the Municipality of Thessaloniki and CERTH/ HIT at issues related to climate neutrality and sustainable mobility. The MDAT S.A. is one of the organizations of the Mobilair Stakeholders network.
