Mobilair project Launch under ICLEI Action Fund
The Mobilair Project has officially commenced as one of the three initiatives awarded funding under the ICLEI Europe Action Fund, which grants a total of €1 million to support data-driven projects in the Greek cities of Thessaloniki, Athens and Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni. This funding aims to foster innovation in climate action, sustainable mobility and air quality improvement.
As part of this initiative, Mobilair—supported by ICLEI Europe and Google.org—is dedicated to addressing critical challenges related to urban mobility and air pollution in Thessaloniki. The project is implemented in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (HIT/CERTH) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and is supported by the Municipality of Thessaloniki. Through advanced technological solutions and strategic partnerships, Mobilair aspires to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
ICLEI Europe connects ambitious local and regional governments with other sustainable frontrunners, national governments and European institutions, as well as business, academia and NGOs, helping to improve local – and global – sustainability.
