MOBILAIR Project Contractual Meeting at the Municipality of Thessaloniki

A key milestone in the MOBILAIR project took place on 18 November 2025, as the project team gathered at the City Hall of Thessaloniki for the contractual kick-off meeting. The session brought together public servants from relevant Municipal Units and Departments, representatives from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), the Major Development Agency Thessaloniki (MDAT S.A.), and the CERTH/HIT team.

The meeting served as an important moment to present the progress achieved across all work packages, outline the upcoming tasks and timeline, and align on the key next steps towards the pilot phase of the project. CERTH/HIT and AUTh teams walked through the current state of the air quality monitoring network, the AI model development, and the MOBILAIR application, showcasing the concrete outputs delivered since the project’s launch.

MDAT S.A. was also present and was briefed on the project’s objectives and expected outcomes, strengthening the collaborative framework between the technical team and the city’s institutional stakeholders. The discussion confirmed the Municipality’s strong commitment to integrating MOBILAIR’s findings into Thessaloniki’s urban mobility and air quality management strategy.

This meeting marks a decisive step forward as the project enters its most impactful phase: engaging citizens, testing the application with real users, and demonstrating the value of data-driven mobility for a greener, healthier Thessaloniki.
