MOBILAIR Meets CLIMANET: CIVITAS 2026 Workshop Organisation and Scaling to Greek Cities
On 1 July 2026, MOBILAIR held a meeting with CLIMANET, the association of Greek and Cypriot Smart Cities and Mission, to advance preparations for the upcoming CIVITAS 2026 Workshop and explore pathways for scaling the project’s approach to additional Greek cities.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders to align on the organisation of MOBILAIR’s contribution to CIVITAS 2026, one of Europe’s leading platforms for sustainable urban mobility. Beyond the immediate workshop planning, discussions centred on the broader potential of MOBILAIR’s model, its tools, methodology, and citizen engagement approach, to be adapted and replicated in other cities across Greece and Cyprus.
CLIMANET’s network of smart city municipalities provides a natural ecosystem for this kind of knowledge transfer. By connecting MOBILAIR’s experience in Thessaloniki with cities at various stages of their smart mobility journey, this collaboration opens the door to wider impact and shared learning across the country.
This meeting reflects MOBILAIR’s growing ambition: not just to deliver results in Thessaloniki, but to contribute to a national and European movement towards cleaner, smarter, more people-centred urban mobility.
