Mobilair Project presents Sustainable Mobility to International Students at ACT American College of Thessaloniki
On 19 May 2026, MOBILAIR had the pleasure of welcoming international students from the TIAS 2026 Study Trip – Smart Cities at the ACT American College of Thessaloniki.
This visit offered a valuable opportunity to introduce the students to the core principles underpinning the MOBILAIR project: sustainable mobility, air quality monitoring, and the broader goal of achieving climate neutrality in urban environments. Our team presented how MOBILAIR is actively contributing to smarter, greener urban mobility in Thessaloniki by integrating real-time air quality data into everyday mobility decisions.
The TIAS Study Trip brings together students from international universities to explore real-world smart city implementations across Europe. Thessaloniki was featured as a case study in how mid-sized cities can leverage data-driven tools and citizen engagement to advance sustainable urban transitions.
During the session, participants showed remarkable curiosity and engaged in a lively discussion, asking sharp questions about the technical architecture of the MOBILAIR app, the challenges of data collection in urban settings, and the role of citizen behaviour in achieving measurable environmental impact.
